I was reading Consumerist, and Hershey is starting to make some of their “lower end” candy with fake chocolate. Thankfully, Hershey bars, and some other candy will still be milk chocolate.

Does Hershey really think we’re that stupid? Of course we know why they are going with the cheaper chocolate-like product: it’s cheaper. Real chocolate has cocoa butter, which has gotten much more expensive. And companies can use cocoa butter in higher margin items, like stuff in Bath and Body Works. But don’t tell us that “consumers love this and prefer the change,” because we know that is ridiculous.

This site claims to have a bunch of tacky yards. But after looking at some of them, I have seen some a lot worse. I think there’s one up the road that puts all of them to shame. And a few years ago, Sharon and I saw one outside Atlanta that was just ridiculous. I had never seen so many figurines stacked up in one place. We stopped and watched the show for like 15 minutes. (Yes, it took that long to see everything there.)

For 2007, the American Bar Association chose Alberto Gonzales as the Lawyer of the Year.

In other bizarro news, they have also named the Lawyer of the Year for 2008 in the same article.

They clearly state in the article that they want to stir up debate. I have some other terms for it: baiting or being a troll. At least people are calling them on their crap.

It’s a Hanukkah Ham! You know, for those who like the those 8 Crazy Nights, but don’t want to give up the pig either.

And it’s not like this was captured somewhere that could have claimed ignorance. It was captured in a grocery store in Manhattan.
