There’s nothing like being done with work and taking the next week or so for vacation. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy what I do. But the satisfaction with not having to worry about anything until next year is wonderful.
Do you get off the week between Christmas and New Years?

Psht! I don’t even get the eves off. All I get are Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. I have to take vacation time just be able to get out of town for Christmas.
I do get Christmas Eve as one of my 8 standard (plus 3 floating) holidays, but I don’t get New Years Eve. And this year, I actually got 3 weeks vacation. Luckily, I was able to do comp time when I was NC, so I built up a little time for when Kaitlyn was born.
