Ultrasound, Round 2

Pictures from the latest ultrasound!

Sharon had another doctor appointment yesterday, primarily to get an ultrasound. It was amazing to see the baby moving around, and how cramped it really is in there. At first, it wasn’t too hard to pick out features, but after a while, it got a bit harder. Things just kind of started blurring together. I’ve put up the six pictures we got. We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, so feel free to speculate…

Link to the pictures.

WOW!!!! He or she is beautiful!! They got a great face shot and the baby was very accommodating to show us the fingers are all there. My co-workers and I have been gathered around my computer trying to figure out if it’s a boy or girl. No conclusion.

Don’t know if it was the baby being accommodating, or the tech pushing the baby around to get better shots. Sharon said the tech was pushing that probe into her stomach with a bit of force.

At least the baby showed us all its fingers instead of flipping us off. 🙂

Also, you can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them in the gallery. Don’t know if you knew or not, but it makes them about 3x larger.

uh oh, sharon sees this stuff? uhhh…it was only a joke? seriously though, the face picture is amazing. it almost made me cry – that’s how excited i am. i can’t wait til march (since i won’t be able to get down there sooner after it’s born).

i usually thought that those pictures dont come in clear and congratulations sharon and joe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tyler – We got lucky on that one of the baby face. Sharon has said that the ultrasounds they can do in larger hospitals can get even more detailed.

And also a bit more expensive. Converting to U.S. dollars, it’s about $400 for one of them. Sorry, but I don’t have that much to spend on something that’s not medically necessary.

Saving the cord blood is another thing that is marketed shamelessly. Spend a few hundred bucks a year, and it may or may not be helpful in the future. I’ll just keep it in my freezer!

you should just donate the cord blood – why should it be different from other blood? that way it’s there when someone does actually need it, and if everyone donated it, it would be there when you need it.

Sooo cute. Can’t wait to hold him/her!!!
Today I took the baptismal outfit that you (Sharon) were baptized in to the cleaners. It’s a long white fancy dress with a slip ect. It is appropriate for either a girl or a boy. I’m hoping that you will want to use it for the new one.
I am amazed at how well the pictures turned out. My computer only gave me two views though. It has been acting very slow lately.
There are some legitimate reasons for saving cord blood, but like everything else you do a risk analysis.
Hey Joe! Do you want a real speculation on the sex of the baby? Lol.

Enough with the cord blood thing.. It isn’t going to happen. Let’s talk about how I already have the cutest baby ever and I still have 20 more weeks to make it even cuter. Not that it matters in this world, but I may even try to make it smart too.

please make it smart, we already have plenty of stupid people running (around) this world. and yes, it’s the cutest already. just wait til i bring one along to compete….hehehe. it’ll be a good thing you had a head start! 😛
