So I’m watching the Super Bowl now, knowing full well what happens. I only got to see bits and pieces of it, because it was going on Monday morning/afternoon here. Luckily, Fox Sports 3(?!) here is showing it again, but they aren’t going to all the commercial breaks you are normally showered with.
What amazed me today was how aware everyone is about the goings on in the US. It’s like they all know the Super Bowl was today (well, yesterday, I suppose). And they know about Super Tuesday coming up. It’s all very interesting. It’s also a bit sad that most people in the US have no clue what is going on outside the country, and have no interest in that either.
So I’m happy to see what was supposed to be a coronation to a perfect season just get totally ruined. It’s always fun to root for the underdog. And seeing the Manning brothers get the MVP in consecutive years was interesting as well.

So I’m in Sydney now for a week, traveling for business. It’s not a bad place to be going to, being my first truly international trip. (I’ve been to Mexico and Jamaica before on cruises, but I really don’t count that.) Seeing as how the time difference is big (+16 hours from PA), I arrived here yesterday (Friday evening PA time, Saturday morning here). We did some sightseeing in the typical places – down by the harbor, seeing the Opera House, all that stuff.
