The DARPA Grand Challenge was run today. After last year’s running, in which the furthest a team went was 7.5 miles, 3 4 teams have actually finished the race, going 130 miles without any intervention.
I think the progression seen over the last 18 months in just amazing. From going just a short distance to completing the entire race over that time shows just how quickly innovation can take place. I’m not sure what the next event will bring, but it sure will be interesting to watch.
